What is Tomorrowland?
Did that whet your appetite? Let me tell you a little more.
In Tomorrowland opens in 1964, with a young Frank Walker bringing the jet pack he invented to the World’s Fair in New York. When he admits that his jet pack doesn’t work properly, he is sent packing by Mr Nix. But during his presentation he has caught the eye of a young girl named Athena. Seeing something special in Frank, Athena slips him a special pin and tells him to follow discretely when she leaves. Frank does follow and finds himself in Tomorrowland. Meanwhile in present day time, we are introduced to Casey, a young woman who lives in Florida that dreams of space travel. She finds a pin in her belongings after being arrested. When she touches the pin she sees Tomorrowland. She is totally fascinated by what she sees and wants to learn more about it once the pin’s battery dies. Her quest for more knowledge on the pin takes her on a dangerous adventure, during which she eventually meets Frank Walker. She continues her adventure with Frank, where they will both be fighting to save a dream, and society as they know it. The movie is chock full of wonderful graphics and animation, and loads of action. There are so many things in this movie’s storyline that keep it complex and moving that I can’t even properly describe them without totally giving away the whole movie. I’ve seen the movie several times and thoroughly enjoy it. If you’re into adventure, science fiction and a good story this movie is a must-see.
Here’s one of the trailers from when the movie was releasing into theaters earlier this year.
