DiscoRobo is an adorable and fun dancing robot, labeled for ages 4+. You can hook up your tablet, phone, or mp3 player to its speakers/stand and he’ll dance to your music. To turn him on you push his belly button. The robot uses a special beat detection technology to move in tune with the music, and he has 56 dance moves. There’s an interactive talk and chat option that allows two DiscoRobo toys to interact with each other.
My kids LOVED it and started dancing with him. There is also a head spinning piece that makes it dance on its head. My kids named it Blue. Blue makes faces while dancing and says little phrases like “this is fun”. Also if you touch Blue around its belly or its left chest it says things like “hey I’m ticklish”. The robot will work without the speakers by just listening to its surroundings.
The one downside is that the robot requires 8 batteries and the speakers require another 8 batteries. That’s A LOT of batteries! It definitely could use a rechargeable battery pack. Or perhaps if they revise it in the future it would be really helpful if they made the whole robot rechargeable. This is a great toy for all ages. This is one tech toy where kids will be on their feet, interactive and exercising!

We saw a commercial for these and the kids were jumping up and down yelling that they wanted one. Guess it needs to get added to the Christmas list, right?!
