Crayola is a family favorite here in our home. My little one loves to color….and so do I. It is one of my favorite quiet time activities. Crayola recently launched a new product – Crayola Color Alive.
With Color Alive, children can now bring their artwork to life and interact with it. How cool is that?! Each coloring book comes with 16 color pages and 7 crayons, one of which is a special effect. Some special effects include pixie dust and fire! Crayola was kind enough to send me all four of the color alive books and a 96 count box of crayons. Being a new york girl at heart….I thought the box was so cute, The New York 96. The four color alive books available are Skylanders, Barbie, Enchanted Forest, and Mythical Creatures. The color alive app is available for ios, android, and window devices, plus it’s free!
The app is super simple to use, my 3 year old already figured it out! You scan your page,your special effect crayon, and watch your child’s eyes light up as it comes to life! A little tip, make sure when coloring not to color too light. It had a hard time picking up the colors my first go around because I did not press hard enough. Once your creation comes to life there is an option to save it. This will allow your little one to go back into the app and play with them without having the coloring book.
I’m not sure who liked color alive more, my little one or hubby! My son had such a good time taking pictures with “ICE” -that’s what he named him.(once saved in your app you give them a name) Color Alive coloring books would make a great addition to any Easter basket. If your curious and can’t get your hands on the Color Alive book at the moment, download their app. Once you download the app,you can get some sample pages. Samples will be under the button that says My Saved Stuff. Just print them out and get creative! I promise you….it is fun!
