If you’re reading this blog there’s a good chance that you’ve got a Facebook account. Love it or hate it, Facebook is here and doesn’t look likely to go away any time soon. It’s actually become a part of people’s daily routines. And for some of us, like myself, it’s a way to keep up with family that lives far away. Facebook is the only way I get to see my niece and nephew with any sort of regularity. Since my brother moved out of state I have been thankful for Facebook. Neither of them have family where they are. And they both know that they do have family that wants to somehow be a part of their lives, even if it is only through pictures and the occasional Facetime call.
Other people besides parents use Facebook. Young adults, adults, senior citizens, you name it there’s a good chance that every portion of the population is on there. Many of them are there with one main purpose – communicating and sharing. In this digital age more and more is being done on the computer, and on Facebook. Some people keep lots of their pictures right on there. Digital photos are great and certainly serve many purposes but sometimes a real photo in a real photo album is just the right thing. Wouldn’t a Facebook photo book be great!
Photo albums are certainly bigger then cell phones, making it easier to enjoy your own pictures. And speaking of enjoying pictures, it’s hard to share the love on a cell phone! Who wants to hand their phone over for 10 minutes so that someone else can flick through all of the pictures. Not me! But I’ll gladly pass a photo album around the room.
Collage.com has a unique system that connects to your Facebook account and lets you create a collage from your photos. It will also connect to your Instagram or Flickr account as well. Photo books are available in different sizes. The photo books take only seconds to make, days to arrive and can be enjoyed for years. Mom Knows It All contributor Lara has six children, one of whom is a new baby. She takes about a metric ton of pictures. Not always having access to a computer, most of her pictures live on her phone and Facebook. I asked her to try out Collage.com and share her thoughts.

I got the opportunity to get my family photos into books so of course I jumped on it. The first one I made was a softcover 20 page book. It was very easy to make and a lot of fun. I took my photos from my Facebook page, which I liked and found very convenient. The only thing I was a little annoyed at was they didn’t let me pick newer pictures from my youngest child BGs birth to now. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed getting other pics in. There is a cool feature that lets you make the cover of your photo book a collage of all of the photos inside of it, which I did on both covers of the two books I made. The softcover book is very well made and would be a great brag book for anyone. I also made a hardcover 20 page book. I got these pictures from my cell phone and my sd card. I chose a background and title that fit my family . Users are able to change fonts for the title. The books pages are very well made. The only issue I had was an error that I made – I didn’t crop one picture correctly. , but feel like they should of maybe corrected before printing it but again my fault so I can’t blame the company. Overall Collage.com offers quality photo books, reasonable prices, and fast shipping.

  1. my cell phone isn’t too great for taking pictures so i probably have less than 100 pictures on it. i do however have tons of pictures on my facebook page and about 2000 photos on my tablet.

  2. Let’s just say I’ve had to use two memory cards. I’ve transferred a ton and now I currently have 2004. I am a grandma of the 2 most beautiful little boys on earth. Now you know why.
