Does your child like to jump in puddles? Don’t they all! I’ve seen so many soggy, dirty and even stinky shoes over the years. To avoid shoes getting soaked, many parents would tote along rainboots as well. You know the ones I’m referring to – the ones that require a suitcase or backpack of their own because they are so big and clunky. Who wants to have to carry a second set of shoes or boots! We carry enough things to daycare or school as it is! Well, Butler has recently introduced a product that changes all that.
We have reinvented the old galosh, or overboot, for kids. We call it the BUTLER Overboot. The boots are 100% MADE IN USA. Simply put: our rainboots slide over any kids shoe style, and out the door they go, puddle jumping away! We are well suited to city (and suburban) moms who need to get their wee one off to daycare or preschool in mucky/slushy weather and cannot be bothered to carry shoes separately. Besides being innovative, what we think most moms will relate to is that fact that this product is a time saver. Makes her (or his!) life easier. It’s that simple.
We picked the pink Butlerboot for R but they do come in other colors. The boot is made of rubber, is waterproof, and comes with an insert to wear as just a rain boot. The back of the boot has nice size circle for a parents finger or child’s finger to help pull the boots on. The soles of the boot have nice grip on them so your child will not slip. The front of the boot has an accordion type stretch area so you can stretch the boot over your child’s shoe. It also has a strap with velcro to help secure the boot.
We first tried them on with the boot insert in. The insert is removable, washable, and its very soft to the touch. The insert would definitely be better for fall-winter time due to it being padded and warm. We really liked this feature because if you just want to use it as a boot that is possible.
We then tried it as an overboot, which was so simple to do just remove the insert. We tried them over R’s sandals the accordion front part allowed the boot to stretch far out to help pull on the overboot over her shoe. Once the boot was on her feet were waterproof.
We really love the idea of these boots. They are basically 2 in 1 since they come with the insert. We loved the fact that if R goes out somewhere like pre-school she can wear the overboot with her school shoes, get to school and pull the overboot off and not have to carry another shoe in her book bag.
I highly recommend these boots for anyone who has toddler or younger school aged children.

These Rain Boots are the cutest. I could totally see my daughter and toddler in a pair especially since it rains a lot during this time of the year.
I remember my old boots and how I hated them. These at least are cute.
