I absolutely loved our Boppy pillow when CJ was small. We actually wore it out long before we outgrew the need for it. The product served a good purpose and was made well. I received the opportunity to check out Boppy’s latest product, the Boppy Baby Chair. The Boppy Baby Chair was designed to suit many needs, and go from floor seat to table seat. The chair includes a three-point harness for baby as well as chair attachment straps. I asked contributing editor Lara, mother of six, to test it out. Here’s what she thought.

BG is growing rapidly and needed something that was sturdy for him to safely sit on the floor to play with his toys. The Boppy Baby Chair looked like a good solution. When we first got it I noticed it is made out of nice material that you can easily wipe clean, even though it’s soft. The cover can be unzipped, so it can be removed for cleaning.

This chair is suppose to collapse for storage and then snap back up when you’re ready to use it. Snapping it open was a little tough to do but I got it done. I have not been able to collapse it, despite the instructions saying you can. This isn’t a major problem for safety issues but it makes storage a bit more challenging. Fortunately, the seat is not so bulky that storing it or taking it places is an issue. I’m still hoping I can figure out why I can’t get it to collapse like it should.
The tray is an easy slip and click on and pull the lever and slide off which is very nice. BG likes not having the tray on so he can reach things but definitely can see the benefits of having the tray. The chair has a 3 point harness so you know your little one is secure. I love the fact that the straps that connect it to an adult chair to make it a booster seat tuck into a little pocket underneath, especially when you bring it somewhere you don’t have these long straps hanging and getting in the way. Overall this is a great chair with great colors. It’s definitely a good multi-purpose seat.
The Boppy Baby Chair retails for $55 and is exclusively for sale at Babies”R”Us.

I like how this chair is like a pillow yet still has something for the baby to use as a tabletop. Looks like it is very comfortable for the baby!
That chair looks so comfy for the little ones. I would have loved this when my boys were little.
I’d have loved this for my kiddos when they were little. I love all that padding! I’ve got a nephew whose wife is about to have their first little one, I bet this would be a great gift item to give. I’m pretty sure the Boppy pillow is already on their registry. 🙂
Portability–perhaps an issue though.
It looks nice, I had one that was made of foam, didn’t have the pretty inside and the tray was a nice feature as well when my second wanted to be on the floor and play with things but just wasn’t ready to sit on his own yet. This looks very nice.
That baby chair looks super comfy and stylish!
This looks like a comfortable chair. I would have loved using this to feed my baby instead of the high chair. I would be less worried about her falling out and getting hurt.
I love the Boppy pillow for my kids when they were infants. This Boppy chair would make a great baby shower gift!
I don’t need a Boppy chair, but my sister is looking for one. This looks super comfy for baby’s. I also like how it looks easy to clean material for baby furniture has to clean easy!
I didn’t know they were making these now. I would have loved one for my boys. We used a bumbo which I think was similar. We loved it!!
My toddler had a boppy when she was a baby and it really helped me out on the days when I needed to be in the kitchen for example and couldn’t hold her. I’ll prop her in there and put her on the ground with a few toys and she’ll be happy.
