MY THOUGHTS
I received an advance copy of Cars 2. Cars is a favorite of my sons. When he saw me opening the Cars 2 Blu-ray packaging he ran and got comfortable on the couch, a position that he didn’t move from until after the movie was over. We both enjoyed the movie, and he’s watched it a number of times since we got it. The whole movie is like Cars meets James Bond, complete with gadgets, an evil foe that needs to be defeated, mystery and humor. It was nice seeing Tow Mater in a leading role, as an unwitting spy working with Finn McMissile and Holly Shiftwell, all while his friend Lightning was off trying to win. There’s lots of action in this movie, more chasing and “spy stuff” then racing actually. The movie does touch upon darker topics then the first, what with the spy business being what it is. The topics of torture and death do come up a couple of times but I didn’t find them overly traumatic. The underlying messages of the film are about team work, trust and friendship. Cars 2 is very different then the first Cars movie but still good. This is a must have for any Disney collector or any fan of Disney animated films.
Here’s a clip called Big Ben.
And some games and activities too.

Nog as good as I.
My son would love to have this movie, but it’s so expensive. A great review with fantastic characters.
