I love match-3 games. I have crushed more then my share of candies, and have been stuck at level 188 for over two months. I didn’t have to wait that long for my obsession with the game itself to be crushed. I fell madly in love with Fairway Solitaire Blast a few weeks ago and have been playing it daily. And now, the folks at Big Fish have released a match-3 game that offers fun for folks that enjoy crushing harmless candies. The game is called Cascade.
Cascade isn’t your typical Match-3 game. It combines the fun of a Match-3 game with the excitement that comes with pulling the handle on a slot machine.
Your job is to help Jasper the Mole make his way through eight unique worlds, which contain more than 100 puzzles. The games changes with each level that you progress, and the folks at Big Fish are adding new things each month to keep the game fresh!
This is a puzzle game that you can play alone. Or, you can connect the game to Facebook and play along with your friends. there’s even a brag button you can use if you finish a board and are feeling a bit competitive!
There’s a goal for each board. You need to hit that goal in order to move on. You have to meet your goal in a certain number of spins. If you clear all of the crated gems you get an extra spin. So you need to think ahead a bit!
Each board starts with a row of gems at the very bottom. You need to pick the right position to place each gem in order to match up three or more gems above. Each time you match three gems you trigger a cascade. If you run out of places to place a gem you then press the spin button and get a new set of gems once again,
As you make different combinations along with earning points you’ll also earn special gems, wilds and power-ups that you can use to help you later.
If you make a really big match the game will congratulate you and cheer you on even more. This is fun but if you get to making a lot of matches it would be nice to be able to turn off the cheering. But then there are worse things in the world to have to hear then cheers, aren’t there.
There are bonus gems too!
This is where I am now. I’ve been stuck here for a day but I’m not panicking yet. I find that when I get stuck the best thing to do is just try again another day instead of keeping at it.
See how there’s a box down there near the bottom in the second column from the left? I have to get rid of the boxes and then make my matches to get the treasure chests out. It’s harder then it looks!

That looks like a fun game. I am always interested in new games to keep me busy between appointments and when there is the rare quiet time.
I get more addicted to these kind of games than my kids. I’ll have to download this one on my iPhone.

This looks like a lot of fun. If I got addicted to another iPad game my husband would kill me!
I’ve played this one called Puzzle Quest before where you level up your guy and build up stats to battle in the match-3. It was super fun! It’s a casual game like this.
Big fish always has so many games that just suck me in and I could literally play for hours. This one is no exception! Such a fun game.

I am really enjoying this game. I may have stayed up way past my bedtime the past few nights playing it.
Playing games is such a stress reliever for me. I can sit down and play for hours (unfortunately). My house looks like a disaster, but my mind is relaxed!!
I havent’ played any of these games… I’m scared I would never stop! BUT… maybe I will start, seeing as I will have a lot of late night feedings starting again soon!

I get SO excited when I make a big move and the game board starts sending me points like crazy. This game is so much fun!
Big Fish is amazing. I love the graphics and all the games. However they get me addicted lol! Thanks for sharing tho I am sure I will end up getting this one too 🙂
Those games look like fun!!! I love playing games on the computer and my phone great way to pass time.
My kids would play something like this for hours, if I let them. They are fun and I get into them as well. I definitely like the challenge.

My FAVORITE game is Bejewelled! I play it at least once a day if not more. I am not the best player around but I sure enjoy it!
I have been playing cascade for months but it doesnt seem to load on my phone the last 2 days.is there a problem ……..
