If you’re a regular reader you may have noticed a few posts bout Hurricane Sandy recently. Hurricane Sandy hit our area hard. And I do mean HARD. At my house we had no power for more then 10 days. Besides the lights, no power also meant we had no heat. We all kept layers of clothes on and stayed wrapped up as much as possible. We huddled under blankets for warmth at night. We were not warm or cozy, not by any means. Warm and cozy are words more suitable for a comfy and relaxing time, don’t you think? For me, one of my favorite times to snuggle up and get warm and cozy is about a half hour before my youngest son goes to bed. Why? Because we snuggle up under a blanket and get cozy and just hang out together. Over time the afghan we snuggled under has gotten worn. Plus I’m always chilly, so I wanted something warmer. I went to Walmart looking for a new blanket to snuggle under. I found an amazing sherpa throw that looked so comfy I just had to have it.

I took it home and put it right to use that very night. I was so happy to discover that it actually was as warm and soft as it looked.
Snuggling up with my son under that blanket is great, we share warmth and time together. It’s time I look forward to and absolutely cherish.

You can help share some warmth this month as the temperatures drop and the holidays approach. I know, the picture isn’t all that pretty. It’s unstaged and shows how warm and comfy we are. At moments like that I am content, which is why I like it and chose to submit it. If you’d like to vote for my photo, it’s titled Cozy Nightly Snuggle.
That’s all the info I have for you. I hope you’ll go enter, because the more people that enter the more that will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network.
Actually, there is one more thing that I could share. I liked the warm and soft sherpa throw so much that I went back to get another one. Instead, I found a comforter with soft fake mink on the outside ans the same warm fuzzy fleece on the inside. I bought it in brown. It’s going on my bed this weekend. Seriously. The fleece is so soft and warm.
