I love Baby Einstein toys. My kids are too big for them now, but fortunately I have a very handsome new nephew, which gives me a purpose to be checking out baby toys once again. The baby Einstein toys are great because they’re educational and always so colorful. Here are the six new toys that Baby Einstein recently introduced, which should be in stores now, along with my thoughts on the toy that we received one of.

Baby Einstein Count And Discover Treasure Chest

Classic Put & Take play with the fun of the ocean! Featuring 10 baby friendly plastic coins, classical melodies and fun under the sea ocean sound rewards, the Baby Einstein Count & Discover Treasure Chest discovers shapes, colors and counting in 3 languages. In the shape or color mode, as baby drops coins through the slot the treasure chest “reads” the shape or color of each coin to introduce baby to colors and shapes. In the counting mode, the treasure chest “counts” as each coin is placed through the slot.

I received a sample of the Baby Einstein Count and Discover Treasure Chest. The product packaging shows the product as being suitable for children ages 6 months and older. the toy is sturdy and colorful. I was a little surprised at how heavy the Treasure Chest seems. It’s actually a bit top heavy, presumably because the batteries and “brains” that allow it to talk and play music are up there. I would think the toy would sit more easily if those elements were moved to the bottom, but am sure there must be a reason the design has them up top. The chunky coins are the perfect size for a young child’s small hands to grasp, and will help develop fine motor skills. I like that there are different modes to help teach colors and shapes, as well as to introduce music to the child. I think this is a really nice toy, and cannot wait to give it to my nephew.
The Baby Einstein Count And Discover Treasure Chest has a suggested retail price of $19.99 and is available in stores and online.
