Although I didn’t start this series until season 3, (which I was very impressed with), this season was enjoyable, but it has left me with a bit less than I felt at the end of season 3.
I have heard great things about season one and two but since I can’t get my hands on them I have had to rely on reading up on them. I have to agree that season 4 leaves me wanting more, but better. Bringing people back to life many times gets kind of old, like a soap opera where the same character has died many times but is still there after 20 years. The writing is definitely not the same as season 3. I just think the show needs some reinventing with some new energy.
In Season 4:
At the end of Season 3 we saw Oliver Queen (aka The Arrow) riding off into the sunset with his longtime girl Felicity Smoak. They left the Star City with the hopes of starting a new life. The big question is will he ever be able to really leave behind his past as The Arrow. But if he can what will happen to the team that he has spent so much time and worked so hard to put together?
Some of the questions are: Will military vet John Diggle, Oliver’s sister Thea Queen, and the lawyer-turned-vigilante Laurel Lance continue Oliver’s fight without him? Then with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra’s al Ghul. The question remains is everyone safe?
I still enjoy some of the characters from last season but you can almost predict how an episode is going to work out. That takes the fun out of it. I am hoping that I will enjoy season 5 more, I guess time will tell. BUT just because it wasn’t as enjoyable for me doesn’t mean it won’t be for you.
There are 23 episodes in season 4, with 4 discs. The Blu-ray has high-definition and a digital HD copy of all 23 episodes, and it also includes The Flash crossover episode. The DVD set includes 5 DVDs, while the Blu-ray includes 4.

Sustained quality needs consistent solid writers.
This is the first I am hearing about the Arrow series. I always find it such a shame when good shows go downhill due to tired plots.
I actually haven’t heard of Arrow before. It really sounds interesting and like something that will keep you on your toes.
