My parents were on their way home last night, they’ve been in Florida at Walt Disney World all week. It was 29 degrees here today so I know they’ll be missing the warm weather. There are a lot of senior citizens that live in my area that have homes both here and in Florida. We call them snowbirds. They stay in New Jersey during the warm months and “migrate” their other home in Florida during the cold winter months. I’m not exactly sure why they go to Florida instead of Las Vegas. Anyway. I’d enjoy the snowbird life but I doubt it will ever happen for me. With money and the economy and social security the way it is I doubt I’ll ever be able to stop working and retire. Perhaps this is the end of the snowbirds. Where would you go if you could live a snowbird lifestyle?

Actually, if I could live the snowbird life, I’d go anywhere up North, and then just forget about Florida. This state is horrible unless you have the $$ to live on the beach or unless you know you aren’t staying more than a month.
I’m with you on Vegas, though. We lived there for a year and it was SPECTACULAR. A lot colder than Florida, though, and even THEY got snow just last week!
Tonys last blog post..Thank you sir, may I give another?
