One of the only things I don’t like about camping, and one of the many reasons I’m not an outdoors person and won’t sleep outside, is bugs. I hate bugs, all bugs. I know they are a part of nature and one of God’s creatures and all that but it doesn’t matter, I still hate them.
One of the two bugs I encounter all of the time when camping is the ant. They’d be amazing to have as an employee such as a mover or delivery person if they were people, what with the amount of food they can carry. They’d surely be the one to use to send big files. Ants manage to get everywhere, this year they even made their way into the camper so I’ve been killing ants for three days now. It doesn’t seem to matter how many I kill, I keep finding more. I’ve been stepping on them and fighting them off with spray cleaner because for some reason unbeknownst to me I have no bug killer spray in the camper this trip. I’m clearly losing the battle. Too bad you can’t store tangible things in online file sharing isn’t it?
Oh yeah. These are just regular ants. Don’t even get me started on how much I hate the fire ants of South Carolina.

Perhaps you can try a trick that I use with our big red desert ants. The only thing that I had found that had worked with our big red ants was diazinon. To make a long story short, I found that roach baits killed red ant colonies. I don’t know if it would work on fire ants, but I have taken over the battle of our big red desert ants.
