Finding a doctor can be really challenging. There are so many things to consider – location, hours, reputation, insurance being just a few. And so the quest begins. Amino is very easy to use. The first step is to specify the type of doctor or services that you are looking for. So, family medicine, ob/gyn, pediatrician, cardiologist and so on. The list of choices contains everything I was able to think of and then some. So, for example, let’s say you just moved to the area and need a new ob/gyn.

Next you provide your location and a small amount of information about the patient, specifically age and sex.

Finally, you put in some search parameters for the doctor that specify your needs – whether you prefer male or female, how far you’re willing to travel, and what insurance you have if any.

For my demo I chose a doctor I knew of from many years ago.

Amino shows the conditions that the doctor has frequently treated. The list shown for the doctor I chose was accurate.

I did notice that a maximum of 25 results appear when you search. I am that person that goes 5-10 pages deep when searching Google. There were doctors I have seen in the past that fit within the search parameters that didn’t appear in search results. I was curious if they were in the database. They were. To find them I searched by physician name, the field for which is down in the footer of the site.

Once you’ve determined what doctor you wish to make an appointment with, you can call right from Amino. Or, you can have Amino schedule the appointment for you just by providing some basic information. When scheduling your appointment Amino will keep your scheduling needs in mind, and confirm the physician accepts you insurance if you have any.
