There aren’t many things that I really dislike about summer. Mosquitoes are one of them. I’ve always felt like a giant mosquito buffet. I step outside and it seems like every mosquito in the world finds me and starts feasting on my blog. Within no time I’m itching and have wheals (the bumps you get after a mosquito bite) everywhere.
The folks at Terminix informed me that “nearly 38% of parents would eat a mosquito if it meant they didn’t have to fight them off all summer long.” It sounds gross but if I knew it was safe I probably would do that if It meant not getting any mosquito bites all summer. For me the bites are just that unpleasant. For years people had to deal with mosquitoes. It’d be so much simpler if we could just eliminate them, don’t you think? Terminix AllClear Mosquito Bait & Kill is a new product who strives to do just that.
You’re probably wondering what Terminix AllClear Mosquito Bait & Kill is. Well, it’s a collaboration of science and nature. Terminix AllClear Mosquito Bait & Kill is the first and only ready-to-use formula incorporating the scientifically proven approach of Attractive Target Sugar Bait (ATSB). This product is designed to use the mosquito’s natural physiology against itself. I’ll explain.
More than 10 years of science says that sugar is a mosquito’s Achilles Heel, not the harmful chemicals many thought to be the best solution. It seems that mosquitoes need plant sugars to survive – to fly, to mate, and even to bite. With that in mind, a global team of scientists spent more than ten years honing the ingredients of a perfected sugar bait that targets mosquitoes specifically, yet is 100 percent non-toxic to people, pets, and the environment including non-target insects like bees and butterflies!

So basically, like desserts go right to my waistline, sugar goes right to work starting it job of killing the mosquito. ATSB is made from a proprietary blend of plant sugars and micro-encapsulated garlic. Because it’s made with these things instead of man-made chemicals, ATSB is totally safe for people, pets, and the environment. The only thing harmed by ATSB is  mosquitoes. Only mosquitoes – not beneficial insects — find the sugar bait and the encapsulated garlic hidden within. The combination is lethal to both male and female mosquitoes. Within 48 hours of ingestion, both males and females stop biting, their breeding cycle is disrupted, and they begin to die. Within three weeks, mosquito populations as a whole collapse by more than 90 percent.
ATSB has been proven to collapse disease carrying mosquitoes by more than 90 percent. That is a huge number! And that’s not the only stat worth noticing. More than 21 scientific studies, an article in Malaria Journal and an upcoming study in Acta Tropica all agree that ATSB is a highly effective, very viable NON-TOXIC solution that has shown a 96% efficacy against the Aedes albopictus species, commonly known as the Asian tiger mosquito and known carrier of chikungunya and West Nile virus.

  1. We have a swing in our backyard. It is the place we love to sit in the evening. We are only there a few moments, and the mosquitos are around!

  2. My town is ground zero for EEE and West Nile Virus every year, so a good repellent is important.

  3. I can’t believe how bad mosquitoes are this year. I am glad there is a product that helps us to stay outside comfortably like this.

  4. We have the worst problems with mosquitoes in our back yard. I’ve sprayed the lawn in the past, but it doesn’t always get rid of them. I just want to relax without being eaten by them!

  5. Mosquitoes are one of those things that I never used to worry about but now they terrify me. They carry disease and they also leave those bumps all over us. The backyard is like a war zone between us and them!

  6. Sweet blood or bad luck. Whatever it is, mosquitos adore me. I would love to get rid of them so I can enjoy summer nights without being eaten alive.

  7. Sounds really great. Mosquitos are really bad where I live, thankfully we are moving but I think its all over this city. I need to check this stuff out.

  8. Will have to stock up on this stuff. Heading to my parents place soon and their Mosquito’s are HORRIBLE. They live near water and I want to stay indoors when I go there, but I bet this would let me be outdoors.

  9. The mosquitoes swarm all over our yard, and I attract them like crazy (and I react to the bites). I’d be one of those willing to eat a mosquito if it meant not having to get bit all all year!!
