Over the years I have gone to a lot of sporting events for my sons. I loved watching them. For the most part the only thing I didn’t enjoy was the standing. Sometimes I would bring a folding chair with me and that helped a lot. On the really hot days, or the days where it was actually drizzling, the chair was of o help because while I could sit down I was still exposed to the elements. I wish I’d had a Sport-Brella chair back then.
The Sport-Brella Recliner Chair is a really comfortable portable chair with a weight limit of 250 pounds. But it goes beyond being just a chair. It’s super comfortable. It has a 3-position recliner that allows you to get comfortable. You can really settle in and get comfortable by extending the footrest, which can also be completely removed. As the chair accommodates a weight limit of up to 250 pounds you would think it might be heavy. It isn’t. It’s ultra-strong, lightweight steel construction actually make it very light and easy to carry. The material has a metallic undercoating for UPF 50+ sun protection.
The chair also has an adjustable overhead umbrella that swivels to offer 360 degrees of sun protection. The umbrella, which has eye protective safety tips on the points, can attach to either side of the chair, and folds down for storage as a single unit. Considering the dangers of getting too much sun and the fact that my own Mom was diagnosed with skin cancer not all that long ago, the umbrella is a very welcome feature.
The chair is easy to set up and take down. When folded the chair fits into an umbrella type sleeve with a handle, which makes it very portable. Once in the chair you can settle in and relax. One of the arms has a cup holder. The chair has a built-in insulated pocket that holds up to 4 drinks. This chair is not only great for the beach and sporting events, it’s great for at home in the backyard too.
The Sport-Brella Mini Chair is a small version of the original Sport-Brella chair. It has many of the features that the Recliner Chair has. It too has a sturdy, lightweight frame, weighing in at just 5.7 pounds. This chair would be great for young children and tweens. It can accommodate weight up to 120 pounds. While the chair can hold a good amount of weight, the height is probably not the best fit for an older child. My youngest is just under 100 pounds. The chair didn’t really fit him well at all. We let a friend’s younger daughter try it and it fit perfectly with room to spare. Children have such sensitive skin, so it’s great that this chair has the patented 360-degree detachable swivel umbrella. The umbrella, which has protective safety tips on umbrella points, folds down onto the chair as a single unit that can be stored in the included carry bag. Your little one can relax in style and safety, and even enjoy a water or juice, which they can keep in the built-in cup holder.
