Many people think of heart shaped cards, romantic dinners, flowers, candy, clothing and jewelry when they think of Valentine’s Day gifts. Myself included. The LIFE Foundation would like to encourage people to look past these gifts and to consider giving the future as a gift. I’m talking about giving something lasting and more meaningful than anything else I can think of. I’m talking about life. We’re not going to be here forever. More specifically, the LIFE Foundation wants to make 2009 the year people take a different approach to the holiday by considering life insurance as one of the truly selfless, enduring gifts one can give. It might sound strange, but purchasing life insurance stems from the same motive as celebrating Valentine’s Day – because you love someone!
LIFE is holding a Selfless Love contest this year. It ends on 02/14/09. Anyone over the age of 18 may nominate someone who has exhibited selfless love for a chance to win prizes including $2k towards the Cartier Love Collection.
