I enjoy animated movies. I loved the movie Happy Feet. I loved it because the character of Mumble was different than the other penguins, and a bit of an underdog. And he was so darn cute! I loved watching him come into his own. My youngest also really enjoyed the movie. One of the things on my to do list for this weekend is to watch a couple of movies, one of which is Happy Feet Two.
Here’s some info on Happy Feet Two.
The sequel to “Happy Feet”, the Academy Award®-winning animated smash hit, “Happy Feet Two” returns audiences to the magnificent landscape of Antarctica. Mumble, The Master of Tap, has a problem because his tiny son, Erik, is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven – a penguin who can fly! Mumble has no hope of competing with this charismatic new role model. But things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces. Erik learns of his father’s “guts and grit” as Mumble brings together the penguin nations and all manner of fabulous creatures – from tiny Krill to giant Elephant Seals – to put things right.
Here’s the trailer.
Available in stores beginning March 13th, Happy Feet Two taps into the tale of Mumble and his musical friends in the Antarctic and will be available as a Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download from Warner Home Entertainment Group.
Directed by George Miller, Academy Award winner for the original Happy Feet, Happy Feet Two features the voices of an all-star cast, including Elijah Wood Matt Damon(The Lord of the Rings), Oscar winner Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting), Hank Azaria (The Birdcage), Grammy award winner Alecia Moore (P!nk), Academy Award nominee Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Oscar winner Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting), Emmy award nominees Sofia Vergara (TV’s Modern Family), Common (Date Night) and Hugo Weaving (Legend of the Guardians).
Also available to elevate the viewing experience, there is a free Happy Feet Two Movie App (available through the Apple iTunes store) for IOS 4.2 or higher compatible devices, including the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app syncs with the Blu-ray disc to provide enhanced content and interactive features and is such a fun way to sing, dance, and play along with your favorite movie characters on-screen.
I recommend downloading the Happy Feet Two app BEFORE watching the movie, as there are parts of the app that allow you to interact with the movie while you’re watching it.
Here’s a trailer to give you a quick glance at the app.
