MY THOUGHTS
My youngest loves all things Thomas. This was the first time we saw this and we really enjoyed it. I really loved the way that new and old meshed together in this movie. We were introduced to some new characters, including the Earl of Sodor, two super fast engines names Connor and Caitlin, Millie the French engine, and and an old engine named Stephen who knows a lot about history. We were also introduced to new areas of the island, including the castle grounds and the abandoned mines below it. In the beginning of the movie we learn that the Earl of Sodor is returning to Sodor after a very long time away. He will be restoring the castle, and opening it for all to see. Restoring the castle will take a lot of work. As usual, our friends the engines are trying to be useful but things go a little awry and Stephen goes missing. All of the engines must work together to comb the island and find him. Once Thomas finds Stephen, he will have to work even harder to save his new friend from a certain disaster. The special features included on this DVD, especially the game and puzzles, were a big hit with my son as usual.This DVD is a must have for all Thomas & Friends fans.
