I love Christmas, it’s my favorite holiday of the year. From as far back as I can remember that has been the case. I think this is partially the case because of the visual beauty of the holiday. Since I was little I’ve always enjoyed the sights of Christmas. My parents go all out. The most remarkable thing you’d notice if you went to my parents house is the Christmas lights. My parents put up more lights and decorations outside than Clark Griswold. Think I’m kidding? Take a look.

That’s my parents’ front yard in 2008. The picture may be small but I think you get the idea. They started decorating this year before Thanksgiving. This year they’ve rearranged it and added some more!
Their decorating isn’t limited to the front yard. Inside as soon as you walk in the door you see the railing, full from one end to the other with individually chosen character Christmas stockings. Once up the stairs if you look into the living room you see the bow window, full of animated Disney Christmas figures. Through the living room and dining room are holiday decorations, tablecloths, doilies and other items. The whole house is just a feast for the eyes, a visual splendor.
This year I was in Walt Disney World with my parents shortly before Thanksgiving. The parks had a good number of their Christmas decorations were up. They opened the Osborne Lights in Hollywood Studios on the day before we left.

I worried a little that they were planning something but then I realized that they were just taking a picture of my son CJ and my brother LB2. I hope so, anyway.
When I see the yard all lit up I know everything is right with the world and that my parents are gearing up to give everyone the best Christmas possible once again.
I love you Mom and Dad. Thanks for always being there and doing what you do. It is not unappreciated. I can’t imagine my life being as full without you.

Thank you. I needed to hear kind words. Come winter so many people lose the true meaning of things. I love you.
You’re welcome.
Thanks Val
