I told TJ last night that I thought instead of rating pain on a scale of 1-10 it’d be interesting to rate it by adult clothes size – S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X and so on. Shortly after I had a really bad pain in my leg and said to myself (yes I talk to myself) that it was a 60D pain. Turns out TJ heard me, which was obvious by the look on his face. I asked him if he was smiling because he knew what the number meant. He looked at me, straight faced, and said it was a bra size. I asked him how he knew about bras and he blushed and mumbled something about tv. He then asked me what the numbers meant and did everyone need them. Oh joy! I explained the difference between the size and the cup, complete with a little illustration with my hands pertaining to cup size. (That made him giggle.) To keep things on the simpler side (for myself) I said that almost all girls needed a bra. He looked a little puzzled, so I explained that much as tv lifts put tvs in the proper position and car lifts raise cars so that they’re high enough to work on, so does a bra. So it turns out the car lifts analogy wasn’t the best idea. Another excellent example of me opening my mouth and inserting my foot. Or in this case, a breast.

  1. How funny! That’s a great story and made me chuckle a little bit. I’d have to say though when I broke my leg last year that it was a 44 GG on your pain scale…. 😉 I’m gonna use that I think, I like it better than on a scale of 1 – 10…
