This game can be played in TV, tabletop or handheld mode. The main goal of the game is to complete hidden object puzzles. Each puzzle has two areas to search. There’s a list of the items you need to find. You can press ZR to zoom in on the main area of a puzzle. The secondary area is slightly smaller and you cannot zoom in on it. Some of these puzzles include an item that is used as a tool to find a couple of other items. For example, if you find the key, then you need to find what opens with the key, and then find two or three objects there.

Some of the hidden object puzzles require for you to find a shape that matches a silhouette.

Each area also has a spot the difference mini game. Here you need to find all of the differences between two photos. I love these as much as the hidden object puzzles.

Another thing that each area includes is a jigsaw puzzle. You don’t get to see a picture of the puzzle before you start working on it but you can usually get an idea of what’s supposed to be happening.

There are other mini games along the way as well. In one you have to sort through a pile of coins to find the ones that match. Here you have to think somewhat strategically, as you can’t move coins or choose a coin that’s under another coin. In another you have a few tools and you have to figure out what needs to be repaired and what tool will accomplish that.Faircroft’s Antiques is a series of hidden object games. I haven’t played any of the others but after playing Faircroft’s Antiques: The Forbidden Crypt Collector’s Edition for Nintendo Switch I’m sure I would enjoy them. The storyline progresses as you complete puzzles and games. Each time you get to a new area you get a group of puzzles to solve (usually represented by a building) and you can solve them in any order you like. The hidden objects weren’t too easy or too hard, making the game suitable for everyone. I enjoyed the game and recommend it to anyone with a Switch that enjoys hidden object games and puzzles.
