My twelve year old has a phone friend. He discovered that his friend has a cousin that’s around the same age who he has a lot in common with. He’s supposed to meet her next weekend. Already they’re texting each other and talking on the phone. He flipped open his cell phone last night to show me a picture of the girl that she’d sent him. She was cute but looked a bit, um, developed. (I’m now thinking about never letting him out again.) I asked him why he had her picture if they’d never met and he told me it was because they’d exchanged. He then showed me a bunch of other pictures, apparently all of the kids exchanged them. At this rate he’s going to use up all of the space on his phone with all of these pictures.
