I love using the drive-thru pharmacy. I mean, it can’t get much more convenient than driving up and getting your prescriptions without having to get out of the car to go inside and wait on a line. It would be nice if some doctor’s offices were that way, don’t you agree? With the first days of school just around the corner, the pediatrician’s offices are jam packed with kids needing their immunizations for school, physicals for sports and other wellness visits. Who has time to wait around for an hour or so?! They don’t offer drive-thru doctors yet as far as I know, but there is something else almost as convenient – the CVS MinuteClinic!
The CVS MinuteClinic offers a variety of health care and wellness services right in store, including vaccination services, sports physicals services and acne services. These services are just a few of the reasons parents are seeking out doctors right before school starts. MinuteClinic launched the first retail medical clinics in the United States in 2000 and is the largest provider of retail clinics with more than 1,100 locations in 33 states and the District of Columbia.
Unlike most local physicians, MinuteClinic strives to make everything as timely and convenient as possible. In a traditional setting, if you aren’t feeling well you have to wait until the doctor’s office opens and then try to find the soonest appointment that fits your schedule. Then, when you get to the physician’s office you usually have to wait a while to be seen. MinuteClinic is working to do away with scheduling headaches by making health care more convenient and accessible than ever. They have designed a process to make seeing a doctor as painless as possible for all.
Convenience starts with scheduling. I’m sure you have found yourself wondering how it is your local physician makes everything so darn convenient for you. (Yes, that was sarcasm.) You might find yourself singing a different tune if you use a CVS MinuteClinic. If you aren’t familiar with MinuteClinic, you can walk right into any location without an appointment. That in and of itself is convenient, but MinuteClinic took convenience to a whole different level with a new digital tool. The new CVS MinuteClinic digital tool allows you to schedule your appointment from the comfort of your own home. Accessible from your computer or smartphone, the tool allows you to select the location that suits you best and see what the wait times are for being seen. If you decide you do in fact want to seek care, you can use the new “Hold My Place” feature, which will hold your place in the scheduling line and start the registration process.
You may be wondering what the availability for services like this is. It’s quite generous as CVS Minute Clinics are open 7 days a week including evenings. Many ordinary physician’s offices don’t have that many hours open. This makes it so much simpler for busy working parents to get their children in to be seen without totally upending everyone’s schedule for a large block of time. With the ability to walk in or schedule from home, CVS MinuteClinic has turned the world into a waiting room.
I think the convenience of the CVS MinuteClinic is ideal for busy families. Working parents can get their child seen without missing work. Parents with more than one child don’t necessarily need to find child care for one child in order to take another. Parents of teens that get those surprise breakouts just a few days before the start of school will appreciate the peace of mind being seen quickly gives them and their child. All in all, MinuteClinic presents a great solution for last minute physicals and vaccinations, as well as non-emergency issues that seem to have a way of popping up at the most inopportune moments.

I’ve actually been to the MinuteClinic at my local CVS. It was so convenient and I didn’t have to wait long at all. I didn’t know that they now had a digital tool to schedule an appointment. I like that you can hold your place in line and see the wait time.

We use the minute clinic every time we need to go to the doctor for something small. It is easier than getting into the regular doctor and I get what I need quickly. I love it!

A minuteclinic sounds like a great place to go for minor issues. I hate waiting at the doctor’s office and dealing with appointments and such. This is a great alternative. I have to see if any of my local CVS stores offer this!
I hate corporate pharmacies. I hate prescriptions in the mail even more. Big business stifled the small retail drug store and drove most out of business. Claim is that that competition void cut costs. Well, it cut services to. My pharmacist Paul was awesome and I remained a faithful customer until a big boy bought him out. His knowledge, expertise, and caring were worth every penny I spent. Besides it was just that not dollars.
The CVS Minute Clinic is so convenient. We’ve used it before and it was great. They were even able to write a doctor’s note for school which was so helpful.
I’ll be honest, I keep forgetting about CVS minute clinic. I think it’s so important to have a place to go that is close to home.
I have heard of the CVS minute clinic for awhile but I have never used it. I like the fact that you can walk right in, so I will have to keep this mind next I deal with a bad cold and sinus infections

The drive thru option is one of the smartest moves ever. Sometimes I’m not as cute as I should be when I leave home and don’t want to be seen. Sometimes I don’t want the extra 15 minutes it will take to drag my kid out of the store because she wants to look at every single thing in the store.
Awesome service! I love that health care is now more accessible to people with busy schedules. The store locator is also very convenient, so with the drive through pharmacy. I hope more CVS stores nationwide will offer this service to their patrons.

I’m impressed with their service. I remember I have a bad colds and cough. I tried to schedule for a doctor appnt to our family Dr. unfortunately they ca not accommodate me on same day I need to be checked. CV’s is the only one who helped me without any waiting needed.
