We have two cats – Romeo and Jules. We love them and try to take good care of them. We adopted Romeo in October 2009 from a women in New York that couldn’t keep him any more. I arrived home from a trip to LA to meet Jules in August 2010. Neither one of the cats has any really bad habits, something we’re very fortunate for. Historically, finding toys that our cats enjoy and don’t tire of quickly has proved challenging. Fortunately for cat owners like myself, PetSmart recently updated all US and Canadian stores to offer more unique and exclusive cat products. Fortunately for my cats, we got to try some of the new products.
KONG SCRATCH & GROOM POST

Jules really took to this toy. He loves to attach the feathered toy! He has gotten the toy off, but the folks at Kong thoughtfully designed the toy so that it easily can be reattached. Both of my cats have ignored the ordinary style scratching post so we think it’s pretty cool to see them scratching at this one without even realizing it when they’re trying to get the toy.
A scratcher and groom mat in one! One side allows your cat to scratch and stretch while the other side contains a groom mat to trap excess fur. Dangler toy included. Retail $49.99.
I think this may be the favorite toy out of all of them. I loved watching them both play with it together. They scratch on it, lay on it, play on it, play under it, you name it they do it. It’s so much fun to watch them with this. I believe play is healthy, and helps create healthier and happier cats. What I like best about this toy is that it’s big enough and has enough features that they can easily share it.

This toy was a blast to watch them play with too. The noise of the material seemed to attract both the cats. This toy is great exercise, it really gets the cats running. It’s great because they interacted with each other – sneaking up on each other through the end holes or the hole in the top. Jules is bigger than Romeo so he rubs against the insides more, so we found more of his hair in there than Romeo’s. Unfortunately, I can’t share my pictures of this one because they’re on my memory card, which is stuck inside the dvd drive of my computer until I can get it to the Apple store.
PETLINKS SYSTEM TWINKLE CHUTE WITH LIGHTS
This portable toy springs into action to create a 3-foot long tunnel that will soon become your kitty’s favorite place to play, hide and pounce. The Twinkle Chute features motion-activated lights to get her up and moving and entice her for endless hours of fun. This was fun too. The cats were going in and out of the two tubes so we actually connected them together. What a hoot! This tube makes even more noise than the Kong tube and the cats are fascinated by the noise. My cats didn’t seem to give a hoot about the lights so we’ll probably just not replace the batteries when they die. Unfortunately I only have photo of Jules playing with this one either until I get the computer to the Apple store.
