About two years ago I went to a dentist for a cleaning and she told me I had a cavity on the upper left side of my mouth. My insurance had ended and I didn’t have the money to pay cash so I didn’t do anything about it. When I went to the dentist earlier this summer for a cleaning and root planing I asked them about the cavity and they told me I didn’t have one. I explained I had some discomfort where it was and they said there was nothing there. Now when one of my dearest friends ignored a toothache nothing good came of it. See, she had a crown in her top row of teeth, right in the front of her mouth. She ignored pain there for almost two years until one day at work she was talking and her crown fell right out of her mouth. Not too many people noticed it actually fall out, but they sure did notice the big hole in her mouth when she spoke. She was so embarassed, I felt really bad for her. At the time, money was really tight and she couldn’t afford to get it fixed right away. So for a few weeks she kept trying to get it to stay in there with different glues and whatnot. There just didn’t seem to be any good temporary dental repair products. The best of the worst was some nasty stuff she had to mix and that would keep it in for 2-3 hours at a time, but she couldn’t eat with it. So she stopped eating in front of anyone but me. That’s saying a lot because at the time we worked for a company where large groups of people went out to lunch several times a week. What she really needed to hold her over was a product like Dentemp OS. Dentemp OS is a temporary fix that contains a pain reliever. It acts quickly, you can eat on it after a half hour. OS stands for one step, as the product comes in a resealable vial good for up to six uses. It sounds like a good thing to keep in the medicine cabinet if you have things like this happen to you.
