My Mom got me a cute top that is beige and has light turquoise beading on the front in the neck and chest area. I put it on this morning at 5am for the first time. I put on turquoise pants that matched the beads. I got as far as the bedroom door when I decided that beige and turquoise do not go well together and that I needed to change. I changed the pants to color that’s a cross between burgundy and brown. the top now matched the pants, but the beads didn’t match anything. Well by that time I was running late and had to leave so I had no time to change again. I felt like the little beads, which are the sizes of a grain of rice, were now as big as gumballs and everyone was looking at them. Sometimes I see those fashion makeover shows and I don’t think the stuff they put together matches either. Am I just old fashioned? Am I the only one that’s particular about what goes with what?

    1. Sue, I may be one of the only people to tell you jeans in certain colors don’t match quite everything. LOL.
Katy – thanks for visiting. My 12 year old hates that I like things to match. I had no such luck with the passing it on.

  1. Yu know not all things have to match. I guess it just depends what you like. Sometimes what I feel like is a big deal no one else even cares. And the beige would ahve looked ok (in my eyes) lol 😉

  2. From “What Not To Wear”, which I never watch but happened upon one day…beige is a neutral color, therefore EVERYTHING goes with it. I would have worn the turquoise pants with the beige top….the burgundy pants would have gone just as well. You don’t have to match the detailing to anything.
This comes from your friend who likes to match socks with shirts…so yeah…if I am wearing a pink shirt, I have socks to match! And who CARES what color the pants are, so long as the sox match! LOL! 😛
