I think food cooked in the cold weather is better than food cooked in the summer. I mostly use the oven during cool and cold weather, from the September and October time frame through the April to May time frame. I try to never use the oven in the summer because it’s hot enough already without adding to it. There are many times I won’t even use the stove in the heat. But once the heat is gone I like to cook food that not only heats up the kitchen but heats up the whole house. Almost all of my favorite foods are cooked in the oven or on the stove in the winter. Baked goods, lasagna, soups, yummy! They taste good to start, but I think I find them more appealing because hot foods warm from the inside. If there’s one time of year I gain the most weight it’s winter. Who else prefers winter cooking over summer cooking? I can’t be the only one.

I must agree with U. It is the wonderful time for food.
Valllll, have to disagree with you on this one. In the summer I like to eat things that are really light and it’s easssy to cook things that don’t require much watching. But you do have a point about food in the winter… warms the heart, smells so good, gives a cozy feeling!
