I’m 41 now and I’ve been coloring my hair, one shade or another since I was 15. Recently though, we moved and our new house has well water. For those of you that don’t know, well water is rough on colored hair. Ours is so full of iron and minerals that in a short period my blond highlights turned Ronald McDonald orange. NOT the look I was shooting for. My hair dresser had to demineralize my hair and color it brown. Eventually, I got a filter and talked her into putting the highlights back. They were holding up but still not how I’d like them to be.
