REVIEW – The Tiny Traveler Board Books

Hi there! I am Shaun – I’m a New Hampshire native who likes to drop my Rs and use the word “wicked” with enthusiasm. I will argue that Maine lobster is best and that New England Clam Chowder should not have tomatoes in it. I’m married to my HS sweetheart, Marc, and together we are raising Paige (b May 2010) and Brody (b December 2015). We also have 2 very friendly cats who think they rule the house. When we’re not busy containing the chaos of two kids, I work at a local Ford dealership, pretend that I’m good at photography, and usually have my nose stuck in a book.

Misti Kenison is on a roll with fun board books about traveling!
Paige got the chance to read her latest books that came out in July – The Tiny Traveler: Japan: A Book of Nature and The Tiny Traveler: Italy: A Book of Numbers.
With Japan, Paige had the chance to learn about bonsais, Mount Fiij, cherry blossoms, and bamboos. Reading this book led to a great learning opportunity and we were able to look at a map to see where Japan is and more about their culture.
Paige also got to read The Tiny Traveler: Italy: A Book of Numbers. This book was of particular interest as my heritage is Italian. Reading the book about Italy taught Paige about the historic monuments in Italy – gondolas in Venice, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, pizzas, and more!

Paige, Marc, and I love that the books are board books. We know that they will stand up to multiple readings by Paige and the grabby hands of her 6 month old brother, as well as time. So hopefully we will see these books enjoyed by Paige’s friends and Brody.
The Tiny Traveler books are brilliant – bold font, vibrant colors, and easy to read.
We look forward to expanding our collection of these books!
