This young woman’s life is changed forever when she forms an out of the ordinary bond with a beat up horse in EMMA’S CHANCE. This movie was released on DVD and digital July 5 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
This was a shed tears, sit with your muscles tightened type of movie. It also had ‘feel-good’ moments so that helped balance it out a bit. This will be a movie that I won’t soon forget.
Sometimes you are rescued when you don’t realize you need rescuing which makes this film even more heartwarming.
Greer Grammer (TV’s “Awkward,” Life Partners) stars as Emma, a young woman who must complete community service at a horse ranch following a dare gone wrong. As she spends more time at the ranch, Emma bonds with Chance, an abused horse that won’t let anyone else ride her. When the ranch is threatened by a predatory horse-buyer, Emma hatches a plan to save it and put the buyer out of business for good.
EMMA’S CHANCE also stars Missi Pyle (Gone Girl, The Artist), Joey Lawrence (TV’s “Melissa and Joey” and “Blossom”), Jennifer Taylor (TV’s “Two and a Half Men”, The Waterboy) and Lia Marie Johnson (TV’s “AwesomenessTV,” Expelled). The film will premiere at the Bentonville Film Festival May 3, 2016.
Written and directed by Anna Elizabeth James, the film was produced by Tyler W. Konney and executive produced by Barbara Greaves, Richard Switzer, Anna Elizabeth James and Blake Goza and Natalie Metzger.
SYNOPSIS:
While volunteering at a horse rescue, Emma forms an unlikely bond with an abused horse that won’t let anyone else ride him. Gaining new skills and confidence, Emma hatches a plan to redeem herself and ultimately save the ranch she’s grown to love.
EMMA’S CHANCE is rated PG for mild thematic elements.
