Have you ever found yourself wondering, “How can I get rid of fleas?” Fleas are horrid little creatures. Unfortunately, they are the most common parasite found on dogs. They can be very easy for a pet to get if you aren’t careful. And they can be even more difficult to get rid of. Fleas make our pets uncomfortable. They can even cause them to be ill, as they can carry some serious diseases.

Fleas don’t just decrease quality of life for our pets. The nasty itsy bitsy ankle biters can make people pretty uncomfortable too! I consider our pets members of our family. Our lab puppy Dobby always makes himself comfortable on the couch. And at night, he hops up into our bed and snuggles right up with me. Obviously I don’t want fleas in my bed! According to the Companion Animal Parasite Council can take several months to rid your dog of fleas. It just makes sense to prevent fleas before they arrive and set up camp, feasting on our pets and our family members. BRAVECTO® (Fluralaner) can help you do that.

I have tried numerous different flea products over the years. As I mentioned, fleas can be tough to get rid of. The flea life cycle is a long one. Monthly treatments can be problematic, even if you remember to apply them on exactly the right day. Missing one day can cause a gap in protection and allow the infestation to continue and even worsen. Considering I can’t always remember what I had for breakfast, not remembering something this important is a real problem!

BRAVECTO® is a tasty, chewable extended duration flea and tick control product. For tick control, it kills ticks (black-legged tick, American dog tick, and brown dog tick) for 12 weeks. That’s nearly 3 times longer protection than a monthly treatment! It also kills lone start ticks for 8 weeks. That same one dose also offers up to 12 weeks of flea prevention. It starts killing fleas within 2 hours and kills 100% of fleas within 12 hours. (Go to Bravecto.com for full prescribing information.)
I love the convenience that BRAVECTO® offers. Just a few years ago there were no chewable options for dogs that offered both flea and tick control. Now, one tasty chewable offers up to 12 weeks of flea and tick control! That means you’re only giving four doses per year! It also means there’s no fear of forgetting to give a monthly dose!

FDA approved, BRAVECTO® is for dogs six months and older and is available only from your veterinarian or veterinary clinic. Now that we’re entering the heat of summer, be sure to schedule a visit to your ver to get your pet started on BRAVECTO®. We have a lot of ticks in our area. I need to ask my vet about this.
Bravecto is great stuff! My dog loves it, and I love that I don’t have to remember to put something on his back every month.
A great product for pups that can’t take a skin treatment or a collar. Just get protected!
This sounds like a great product. I don’t have pets, but I will share this with friends and family that do.
Fleas and ticks are common around here, especially during the summer. This sounds like a great way to protect your pet!
I have seen the commercials for this and was curious how well it worked! I am debating trying it with my sweet Jenny the Pug – I am HIGHLY allergic to fleas 🙁 She doesn’t have any yet, knock on wood but who knows with tick and flea season here what she will get.
I have never heard of this brand. Fleas can be such a horrible problem. I have 2 dogs of my own and know that battle all to well.
This sounds amazing for pet owners. Fleas are such a pain and it’s hard to see your dog constantly itching.
My family members love Bravecto! Fleas can be total terrors to pets.
My neigh or just got to puppies so I will share your post with her. We have a cat but everyone else seems to have a dog so I keep them all updated on info that I read about.
I was talking to a friend recently and she told me her dog is allergic to fleas. That’s just no good! I need to share this with her.
I haven’t tried to have a dog in our home but I will recommend this to my friends who are dog-lovers. Thanks for sharing this.
I am not familiar with fleas, maybe because we don’t have pets around. Good thing, it can be eliminated.
Wow, just one chewable is enough to protect your pet for a full twelve weeks? That is super convenient and Dobby is too precious!
My dog is actually out of her flea meds and I need more. I had a hard time finding one that was right for her. I need to check this brand out!
We have fought fleas for so long in this house! It is nice to know there is just one pill that can take care of it for once and for all.
We once had tenants at one of our rental houses and their dog was infested with fleas. My husband ended up with a gazillion flea bites. I’m glad to hear their’s an easy answer to help kill fleas and ticks…and prevent them!
My first to hear of it, but what a good idea! Fleas are def. a pain (literally and figuratively speaking).
When we lived in CA we had to not only treat our cats but the entire house! A service would come and add a powder to the sofa under the cushions and carpet (probably totally toxic). Fortunately where we live now there are no fleas!
I hate fleas! We don’t have pets but have in the past and fleas are the worst.
Fleas and ticks can be deadly.
