Spring Cleaning Essentials And Tips #SpringClean16 #Walmart
I am not ashamed to say that I don’t like cleaning. And I do mean, I really don’t like cleaning. So, I don’t do it as often as some. Every sring I can often be found cleaning. Partially because the weather is improving and I can open the windows and freshen up the house. And, partially because it’s Easter and I have people coming over. No matter what the reason I am cleaning, I do have a few go-to cleaning tools that I must have on hand in order to get things gone well and quickly.
A handheld carry-all is great for carrying cleaning supplies from room to room. In it I have my favorite cleaning agents, a sponge or two, and gloves. I also like to have a dustpan and dust brush with me, so that I can easily take care of smell messes without having to go and get a broom or mop. You’ll also find a dust brush in there. You can use these as is, or you can spray a little cleanser on them for tackling harder to reach areas such as the ceiling fan.

You’ve heard the saying “the job ain’t over until the paperwork is done”? Well it’s true. I prefer to use paper products for many cleaning tasks because they are convenient. I choose quality paper products because they hold up far better than the rest. To ensure folks like you and I are prepared for the annual clean and spring home essentials restock, Walmart carries VIVA, Cottonelle and Scott products that are go-to necessities to create a home that’s spic and span.

Viva® Towels – Available in 3, 8 and 12 roll packs, these paper towels are as soft as some articles of clothing. They’re perfect for cleaning things like windows, mirrors and tube televisions without concern of harsh material scratching. Viva® Towels are also sturdy enough to tackle tougher day to day chores including dusting and spills. And the softness will be greatly appreciated when the towels are used to wipe dirty hands and faces. Speaking of dirty things, the towels will even hold up to a couple of rinses, in case you choose to use them on the dirty dishes.
Viva® Vantage® – Available in 6 and 12 big roll packs, these paper towels have a tough nubby, scrubby texture. Even though they feel as soft as cloth, they are perfect for the tougher jobs you encounter that require some rubbing, scrubbing and elbow grease. I always seem to have a battle on my hands when I get to the kitchen counter. There just always seems to be something there that needs to be scrubbed in order to be removed. Viva® Vantage® holds up like a trooper to all of the colorful stains and stuck-on yuck.

Paper products are for more than just wiping and cleaning up messes. They’re also a very necessary item for every bathroom. You may be familiar with Cottonelle® Clean Care, Cottonelle® Ultra Comfort Care and Scott® 1000.
I am very picky about what I use to wipe my bum. Only Cottonelle® has CleanRipple Texture, which is designed to clean better than the leading national value brand. Available in Clean Care and Ultra Comfort Care, this toilet paper is as soft as or softer than some facial tissues. If we run out of facial tissues, my youngest will go in my bathroom 10 times out of 10 to get some toilet paper to wipe his nose.

For those that prefer a more classic feel, Scott® 1000 is what you’re looking for. It works well in our older, main bathroom because at 1,000 sheets it lasts a while. People are constantly in and out of this bathroom, yet noone ever seems to be willing to change the roll. So, it only makes sense to go with a roll that offers quality and performance that also lasts a long time.

  1. I haven’t started my spring cleaning yet but I know I need to. I love Viva brand paper towels. You can use the un-textured ones to make buttercream icing look like fondant, too, so they’re really versatile.

  2. Viva paper towels are so good they never let me down. They are so strong i can use them for everything. I will be doing my spring cleaning this weekend.

  3. I think #3 was talking to me. A good purge is what I need most. We’ve been trying to declutter & get rid of all that stuff that we’ve accumulated.

  4. I need a caddy to carry all of my cleaning supplies around. It’d cut down on the time it takes to get the job done. Then I can go back to making a mess again!

  5. I like keeping a duster around – because I like to open the windows and let fresh air circulate thru the house, but during springtime, there’s lots of pollen. When I close the window, I do a quick dust sweet in the room!

  6. I like high quality TP in the bathroom too. Especially true if I have guest coming over! I don’t mind cleaning, but my son and daughter hate it. 😉
