Sesame Street: Elmo Can Do It!
I have always loved the Sesame Street characters. I can’t even tell you who my favorite was as a child. Maybe they all are special to me for different reasons. I remember Elmo when he was a little baby, but he didn’t appear very often on Sesame Street. He is now known as the muppet that refers to himself in the third person, (Elmo wants this, Elmo is happy, etc). He is considered a 3 1/2 year old, so his speech isn’t expected to be as far developed as the other muppets.
‘Elmo Can Do It’ is full of fun for any small child. What can Elmo do? Elmo can do it all! Elmo can dance!
Elmo wants to learn Zoe’s dance for Friendship Day, but Zoe also needs to learn to be a good friend. Elmo can write his name! With Chris’s help, Elmo composes a letter for Abby, and he signs it with the one word he can write: his name.
Elmo can help! Elmo, Telly, and Rosita turn into Help-O-Bots and use their powers to try to help Chris! Elmo can stay calm! Guy Smiley is on Sesame Street with a game called “Calm Down and Think!”
Can Elmo calm down and focus to win a bicycle horn? With special guest Bruno Mars.
This is definitely full of positive messages for young children. It shows that with the right attitude you can do anything that you put your mind to. Children want to feel important so something like writing their name is just as exciting for them, as it is for Elmo.

  1. Our girls loved Elmo so I have fond memories of watching him along with all the rest of the Sesame Street Characters. I preferred Big Bird but they always wanted Elmo:)
