Last night we had family movie night. And let me tell you, the movie was awesome! We were finally able to see the movie Jurassic World, which just became available on Blu-ray and DVD. After seeing the movie it was so easy to understand why it was the #1 movie of the year. The cast was great and the graphics, animation and sound all excellent.

Rated PG-13, the screenplay is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Derek Connolly & Trevorrow, and the story is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers. The cast includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Irrfan Khan.
Jurassic World is one of those movies that you don’t want to miss a moment of, partially because it’s that good and partially because you don’t want to miss any of the storyline. The movie takes place in Jurassic World, a theme park dedicated to dinosaurs. Jurassic World is located on Isla Nubar (an island off the coast of Central America), where the Jurassic park movie took place. The people behind Jurassic World want to be sure that visitors keep coming to the park, so they are continually trying to figure out ways to make things bigger, better and scarier. Their newest project, a genetically engineered dinosaur called Indominus Rex, promises to be the parks’ next “must see” feature. Weeks before its unveiling, Indominus Rex escapes, and everything that can go wrong does. Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) fight to save the park visitors while also fighting the hidden agenda of an InGen exec (Michael Donofrio) involving the use of Raptors. I won’t give away any spoilers but will say that the movie is action-packed and for us had several “I didn’t see that coming” moments. We enjoyed this movie a lot and may watch it again this week.

I was always intrigued by the idea that a person could stand so close to a raptor and not get eaten. I enjoyed the movie and would like to own it on Blu-ray.
We grabbed this when it came on early digital release and I really enjoyed it – gotta love the ending.

The dinosaur hiding in the brush is my favorite part of the trailer. All you can see is the eye, you know an action scene is coming very quickly thereafter. 😉
