It is rare for genre shows to last ten seasons, it’s even rarer for a show to hit Season 10 still going strong with the actors, writers, producers, network, and the fan base. Supernatural is one of those shows. It was once nicknamed ‘The Little Show That Could’ by the critics because of how it miraculously dodged cancellation every year. This was due to the very vocal fan base. Supernatural has now become the flagship of the CW network and an inspirational example for other genre shows.
The story of Supernatural and the Winchesters is too long and complex to be told in this review, but it’s safe to say that if you want a show that will make you laugh, cry, scream, and shout, Supernatural is the one for you. If you want to see a show about a family in all its pretense, you will enjoy this series a lot.
Series Synopsis:
Dean Winchester ( Jensen Ackles) has lost his battle with power-mad angel scribe Metatron (Curtis Armstrong), only to be resurrected by the power of the First Blade and now transformed into a demon, cursed with the Mark of Cain. The road to recovering wayward Dean takes brother Sam down sinister paths himself, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core.
The Winchesters’ angelic comrade-in-arms Castiel must pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatron’s campaign to overtake Heaven. With his grace failing and rogue angels still loose, Cass faces the ticking clock of his own mortality while all-new and age-old threats again push our heroes to their human and otherworldly limits.
The 6-Disc, 23-Episode Season 10 will hold you spellbound. You can purchase it on Amazon. Normally this sells for @ $60 currently @ $30.
Ten years–time to check it out. What channel does it normally air first run?
I can’t believe it’s been 10 seasons already! I still haven’t caught any past the first season, guess I have some catching up to do!
This looks like an amazing show~ I love the idea of the sci fi action, I will have to pick up a copy.
I haven’t seen this show and it’s already season 10. This sounds like a great show. Lots of catching up to do.
I can’t believe this has been on 10 years and I haven’t seen it. Sounds like it would be a great show to watch.
Wow! 10 years? It seems like yesterday, I started watching Sam and Dean search for their father. This is an absolutely fantastic show.
