We have Verizon FiOS® and are very happy with it. We actually switched to FIOS years ago. I made the mistake once of trying one of the other guys. Mistake! I was miserable and actually decided I’d rather pay to get out of my contract with them just to go back to FIOS. And that’s saying a lot. Now when one of the other guys comes to our door I tell them flat out – “save your time, you literally couldn’t pay me to switch.”
There’s a number of things we love about Verizon FiOS®. For one thing it doesn’t go out. In the years we’ve had it we’ve only lost service when we’ve lost power. We’d actually have three if we could, so that hubby and I didn’t have to share. See in our house, we don’t all watch the same channels.
You know how that goes. My youngest is limited to certain kids channels that I know are safe. People like my hubby only watch certain channels. I like variety, even though my channels are pretty predictable. Then there are people like my Mom, who also has Verizon FiOS®. She watches very few channels. She doesn’t want tons of channels, nor does she want to pay for channels she has no interest in watching. Wouldn’t it be great if people could pick the channels they got? Well, they can!

What’s a Channel Pack?
A Channel Pack is a group of channels that are all of a similar genre. So, it’s sort of like your list of favorite channels. The seven Channel Packs currently available include Lifestyle, Entertainment, News & Info, Pop Culture, Kids, Sports, and Sports Plus.
Does that description sound a bit general for you? Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect to find in each Channel pack.
You can add additional Channel packs for just $10 each per month.
The Kids pack would be a must for us. It’s got all of the channels that my son watches and more. We simply cannot get through the day around here without heavy doses of Sprout and Disney Jr. Hubby and I would want both the Lifestyle and the Entertainment Channel Packs. They have lots of our favorite shows, and even give us the chance to binge watch once a week or so.

The kids and entertainment pack sounds great to me! Not happy with my current provider I will have to check them out! I love their cell phone service!
I have had Verizon FIOS for years. I have always been very happy with the service I have gotten from them.
I’ve never heard of Fios, but it sounds great. I love the customization that’s available to customers.
I LOVE those packages. My current provider has these crazy tiers that have a bunch of unrelated channels, so I have to buy more than I want just to get what I want!
This sounds great. I found packages around here too expensive and for nothing so we got rid of cable almost 2yrs ago now. Wish we had this in our area!

We love FiOS!! They do have the best service for both entertainment and internet.
This does sound like a very good package! When our contract is up, we will be looking to switch our service and this may be what we go with!
I am not big into watching TV but Fios sounds good
I live in NYC and Verizon FiOS® after all these years is still NOT available in my neighborhood so I guess I am stuck with cable because I’m not moving anytime soon!

For those of us with services grandfathered in, customizing loses channels without really saving enough.
This is an awesome service. We don’t have Verizon in Canada but if we did I would purchase this.
That is pretty awesome. We have Verizon for our cell phone service. I live rural so I am pretty sure this isn’t available here. We don’t have cable and stream everything from Netflix or Hulu Plus.

The Channel Packs idea is pretty smart! I would definitely have to have Sports Plus (for my hockey), Lifestyle, Entertainment, and Kids!
