Have you ever gone to great lengths to find a certain item to give someone as a gift? I have, a number of times. And, I’ve also been the recipient of that type of gift a number of times. One that springs to mind immediately is the Cabbage Patch Kid. My parents worked their butts off to find me one. Jingle All The Way 2 is a movie about a father’s quest to find his daughter the one thing she really wants in the world before Christmas day.
Two desperate dads compete in a no-holds-barred battle to be the best father and make this the best Christmas ever! Fun-loving, laid-back dad Larry (Larry the Cable Guy; Cars, Tooth Fairy 2) is having a bear of a time finding the perfect Christmas gift for his eight-year-old daughter, Noel. The season’s hottest toy, The Harrison Bear, is all sold out, and Noel’s new stepfather wants to keep it that way — so he can be the one to make her holiday wish come true. When Larry learns all Noel wants for Christmas is the bear, he’ll stop at nothing to make his little girl happy and get her the toy of her dreams…Co-starring WWE Superstar Santino Marella, Jingle All the Way 2 is heartwarming and hilarious fun for the whole family!
In the end, I can sort of relate to what Larry went through to find the Harrison bear for his daughter. If you think that the search for the coveted Harrison Bear is a joke, check out this list of toys that have been hugely popular during the holiday season throughout the years! I myself hunted for $4 on this list for my oldest for a couple of weeks.

1. Cabbage Patch Kids- 1983
Children were so excited to adopt their very own Cabbage Patch kid!
2. Gameboy- 1991
Gameboys were all the rage in the early 90’s! This handheld gaming device was just too hard to put down!
3. Tamagotchi- 1997
Tamagotchi’s were well taken care of by kids everywhere! From feeding their virtual pet, to watching it grow, kids were always busy with this new gadget!
4. Tickle Me Elmo- 1998
Tickel Me Elmo was a huge success with a contagious laugh!
5. Razor Scooter- 2000
In 2000, everyone was ready to race their friends on their new Razor Scooter! From children to teens, this piece of equipment was the coolest way to get around.

I remember the Tickle-Me-Elmo craze, almost as crazy as Cabbage Patch Kids in the 80’s. Didn’t dare go to the store then either!
I’ve never had to go on the hunt for the perfect gift, but I remember stories about it! There’s even that funny episode on The Office about the doll that has a horn….
We absolutely loved the first one. I definitely want to watch this!
This will be fun for a family movie night. We are always looking for good movies that ALL of us will enjoy.
I just loved my Cabbage Patch Kid. They were so great. I always played with it.
