My kids especially BC love National Geographic Kids so I was excited to review this book. It has 7 sections Plants, Bugs and Microbes, People and Other Animals, Things Water Does, Reactions, Weird Physics, and Machines. This book is a great book to help kids learn to look outside of the box and try new things, as well as stimulate an interest in science. There are 50 experiments in the book on topics including electrical charges, chemical explosions and food chemistry. It even includes the rainbow rose that I have seen at stores. The book lets kids (and parents) know exactly what they need and how long it takes for an experiment to be completed, and contains a good number of photos. Experiments are based on materials that you will find in most homes. It also goes into scientific definitions, as well as explanations of any chemical change that might be happening and why. This is a very cool book with kid safe experiments. Most importantly, it’s educational and fun, which is why it would be a great gift for any child.

We made a volcano once.
I remember ET’s super detergent project and the sub who was left in the class too long without proper certification or knowledge panning it (she disliked my son immensely to say the least) and my followup with the administration who changed her faulty grading from barely passing to B+.
Actually he hasn’t tried anything yet but I know it’s coming.
