When it comes to awareness, two things come to mind during the month of October – Down syndrome awareness and breast cancer awareness. Two very important topics. I love to see companies trying to promote awareness, and giving back to the community by providing different types of support. I dream of a day where more companies support Down syndrome awareness, but that’s a story for another post at another time. When it comes to health there is no mistaking how deadly breast cancer can be. People need to be aware that one of the most important steps towards treating, beating, preventing and curing breast cancer is early detection.
A like-minded community can be a wonderful thing. It can provide support and information. I believe that ten people dealing with one common thing simultaneously will be stronger as a whole then ten individuals on their own. Estée Lauder feels the same way.
For 2014, Estée Lauder is recognizing the importance of breast cancer awareness with the campaign “Let’s Defeat Breast Cancer. We’re Stronger Together.” So many people have been touched by breast cancer in one way or another. The goal of this year’s campign is to inspire collective global action through the power of storytelling. Through story sharing, BCAcampaign.com will transform into a global, digital experience that inspires and empowers all those touched by the disease year-round.
That’s not all Estée Lauder is doing.

Many of the iconic brands of The Estée Lauder Companies are offering Pink Ribbon products or making donations, united in support of The BCA Campaign’s mission to defeat breast cancer through education and medical research. Pink ribbon products to watch for this month include:
- AVEDA – Limited-Edition Aveda Hand Relief™ with Shampure™ aroma

It’s so great to see a company working to help the global community deal with breast cancer, raise awareness about it, and help put money towards research to find a cure.

I didn’t realize that these were Estee Lauder brands. I use many of these! It’s nice to know that they’re giving back; it makes me more likely to make a purchase.
No, I usually don’t buy any of these, but now that I know about them, I’ll get a few of them. Thanks, Val!
It’s great to see a company donating money to a cause and not just turning everything pink. Awareness and money towards a cure is very important.
I never realized that all these brands are under the Estee Lauder banner! I love Estee Lauder and back when I used to wear a lot of make up-that is the brand I bought most often. I think I will go get one of their solid perfumes (love their perfumes as well)–I am a perfume junky!! I may also pick up that Clinique Lip gloss!!
If I had a choice between products and one supported breast cancer that would be the one I would definitely buy, it’s brilliant that companies like Estée Lauder can spread so much awareness this way.
I did not realize that these were part of the Estee Lauder brand either. I think this is such a wonderful initiative to raise funds for, so many have been touched by this disease.

Uck!! Sorry for some reason my first comment did auto fill!!
I wanted to say yes I use many Estee Lauder products and love them :).
I also didn’t know these were also their brands. I’ll have to look into Origins!
I love when brands help to spread awareness. I definitely want a bottle of the Poppy Wildflower EDP Spray from Coach.
I love when companies give back, it makes me want to purchase from the company more. The products look like items I could use in my beauty routine as well..
This is an amazing cause indeed. I have never used Estee Lauder products before but the colors of this lip glosses are beautiful and I will have to get some. Thanks for the list too.
