Remember back in March I published a post about a new theme park that was opening here in New Jersey? I’m referring to the theme park Diggerland USA, a part of Sahara Sam’s. Diggerland USA is the first US-based construction theme park. The park offers a variety of children’s rides, with general height requirements tiered at 36″ and 42″ and with the majority of them available in some form after 36″. There’s a special play area called the Kid Zone for children under 36″.
Diggerland USA rides include the Barrel Train, Dig-Around, Giant Diggers, Big Diggers, Mini Diggers: Ducks, Mini Diggers: Treasure, Mini Diggers: Bowlers, Dumper Trucks, Skid-Steers, Mini-Land Rovers, Backhoe Adventure, Operation Battletruck, Excavator Express, Sky Shuttle, Rock Wall, Ropes Course, Turnpike Tractors, Ground Shuttle, and Spin Dizzy. That’s a lot of rides! Even though my youngest is a little larger then the height requirement I have no doubt my youngest would have a blast there if he were able to go.

Here’s some hot news for you, particularly if you live in the Tristate area of NJ, NY and PA or if you’re planning on traveling through it. Park visitors can now purchase Diggerland USA annual memberships!
If an annual membership/season pass isn’t for you, how about a nice discount on a ticket! The folks at Diggerland USA have created an exclusive promo code for Mom Knows It All readers. Use code MKIADIG5 to get $5 off full day admission tickets purchased online. That means a ticket would end up being 24.95 ($10 less than the walk-up full day admission tickets). The promo code can be used online until the end of August. http://diggerlandusa.com/admissions/general-admission/
Diggerland USA will be hosting a Bike Safety Parade out front of Diggerland on August 23, 2014, starting at 9 AM. The parade is free to the public. The first 40 riders there will receive free helmets from Safe Kids NJ. They will also be hosting a bike decorating contest, where the best decorated bike will get 2 free tickets to Diggerland USA.
What part of Diggerland USA do you think your child would enjoy the most?
