My nutritionist recommended no caffeine after surgery. I’m not a big soda drinker so it didn’t effect my cold beverages. I am however a coffee lover. Once I was six weeks past surgery I was permitted to try decaf coffee but I had to get some. We only drink freshly ground coffee, made in our Cuisinart which grinds the beans when making the pot. There is nothing like a cup of fresh, hot coffee made from freshly ground beans. The opportunity to review Coffee Bean Direct couldn’t have come at a better time for me.
I received a bag of decaf Creme Brulee coffee beans for this review. They even sent me a nice Coffee Bean Direct mug.

I was impressed with the way the coffee arrived. The beans were in a foil lined thick resealable paper bag with a one-way valve to ensure freshness.

I was very pleased with the beans. The beans smelled and looked good. We’ve bought a national brand of coffee beans for a long time, which I took out of the fridge to compare. The color was comparable, as was the texture. The beans from Coffee Bean Direct weren’t super oily either. The coffee that we made smelled and tasted wonderful.

Coffee Bean Direct offers more than 70 varieties of coffee alone, with pricing starting at about $5 per pound. They also carry tea, accessories and gift baskets. Products are roasted and packed in their New Jersey plant right before they’re shipped to ensure freshness.

  3. It is a toss up, they have too many great blends. For coffee, I would have to say the Braziian Santos. If we’re talkin’ tea, it would be the Wulong. I wish I had some right now.
