I have a confession. I’ve lived at the Jersey shore almost my entire life and I’d never been to Rita’s before today. I’d like to thank the Family Review Network for rectifying that situation right off the bat. Rita’s makes and sells freshly made Italian Ice and Frozen Custard products  in 19 different states within the US, with the majority of them being on the East Coast. They’re celebrating their 25th anniversary of business this year.
In celebration of their anniversary, Rita’s is currently holding a Instant Win Game. If you go to Rita’s you’ll receive a Scratch and Win game piece giving you a chance to win $25,000 or other prizes. There’s also a second chance drawing online that you can enter daily during May for a chance to win $25,000 and an Apple Vacation to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
It was very warm here today on the beginning of the long Memorial Day weekend. This weekend kicks off our summer season here at the shore. I’d gotten two coupons for Rita’s products for this review that were burning a hole in my pocket and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a sunny, warm summerish afternoon then having some frozen treats. So we went to Rita’s. We didn’t have far to go, since there are six Rita’s locations within five miles of my home – one of the reasons why it’s amazing that I’ve never been to one.
I got a Sugar Free Italian Ice in cherry. The Italian Ice is made daily and is fat free, cholesterol free and trans-fat free. RB got an Chunky Fudge Brownie Blendini, which is a frozen custard with pieces of brownie mixed in. CJ got an Oreo Blendini, a frozen custard with Oreo pieces mixed in. TJ got a Strawberry Vanilla Custard Gelati, which was Vanilla Frozen Custard and Strawberry Italian Ice mixed together.
We all really enjoyed our treats, especially CJ.

He informed us it was “ummm, yummy” and earnestly tried to tell RB and I that it gave him muscles.

We picked up a Scratch and Win card and a Cool Card. A Cool Card will get you a free Rita’s treat for every ten you purchase.

We enjoyed our trip to Rita’s. If you ever have the opportunity I highly recommend it.
WIN IT!

  1. My wonderful daughter brought me home both a Blendini and a gellato-custard as a surprise.
Tha Blendini was gone in a flash. The other is in my freezer for today. I just had to test my self control as I counted my calories.
I’d like to try the banana flavor Italian ice.
