Christmas Tree Down
The other day, Wednesday to be precise, I decided to dedecorate. Dedecorating is what I call the process of taking the ornaments off of the tree and taking the tree down, along with taking the outside Christmas lights down. It’s the day where the tree that so proudly sat in the living room in front of the picture window gets taken down, with much muttering and grumbling from the hubby. It’s the day where the tree that stood so proudly like a fine citizen winds up looking like a drunk laying in the street with the garbage. It’s the day where the needles from the tree wind up all over the house. You know that all live Christmas trees are guaranteed to leave like a million needles in your house after Christmas, no matter what the size of the tree, right? Anyway. I’d recently watched Alice In Wonderland (one of my most favorite movies EVER), and the song ” A Very Merry Unbirthday” was in my head. I wondered what people might think if I wished them a “Very Merry Unchristmas” every day until next Christmas. Thoughts?
