Coca-Cola Racing Logo
What are you doing this weekend? I’m in the midst of a long five day weekend, college classes don’t resume until Tuesday. Memorial Day is a memorable day for us, for a couple of reasons. One is what it signifies – remembrance of those who have lost their lives serving our country. My Dad is a huge advocate for POW/MIA Awareness and honoring those that have served this country to protect our freedom and rights. Another is the Coca-Cola 600. The Coca-Cola 600 is one of my favorite races because it’s the longest race, and goes from day into night. I love racing, I almost never miss watching the Sprint Cup race every weekend. As much as I love racing, I love night racing even more. My dream is to go to the night races in Martinsville, VA and Bristol, TN. Some day. Until then, I tune in faithfully every week. I get my love for Cup racing from my Dad, who loves Coca-Cola as much as he loves racing. Recently, coca-Cola announced that they will be offering at least 800 job and career opportunities to military veterans this year through a new recruitment strategy. This is their way of giving back, as well as honoring and showing support to our veterans.
It so happens that my favorite driver is a member of the Coca-Cola Racing team. For those of you unfamiliar, the Coca-Cola Racing Team consists of #1 Jamie McMurray, #11 Denny Hamlin, #14 Tony Stewart, #16 Greg Biffle, #20 Joey Logano, #22 AJ Allmendinger, #31 Jeff Burton, #39 Ryan Newman and #47 Bobby Labonte. And it was announced earlier this month that Danica Patrick was joining the team representing Coke Zero. I love Jamie McMurray, not just because he’s adorable but I like his personality and respect that he’s an advocate for people with special needs, particularly autism.
I’m having an at-home viewing party this Sunday night during the Coca-Cola 600. I’ll be live tweeting from my viewing party during the Coca-Cola 600 this coming Sunday, May 27. I hope you’ll follow @CocaColaRacing and join me using the hashtag #MYCOKERACE. A little birdie told me that some of the CocaCola Racing teams will also be tweeting throughout the race, and interacting with fans.
Now, I’ve got a great giveaway for you.
