ABOUT SESAME STREET: IRON MONSTER AND SESAME HEROES

The Sesame Street gang is transforming themselves into super monsters with amazing powers as Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, and Warner Home Video (WHV) release Sesame Street: Iron Monster and Sesame Heroes on DVD January 3, 2012 for SRP $12.99. Sesame Street: Iron Monster and Sesame Heroes features Grover, Elmo, Abby, Rosita, Bert and Ernie as super heroes who try and solve hilarious Sesame Street-style problems and save the day!
When Grover’s cape is not ready at the Laundromat, he suddenly turns himself in to the super hero “Iron Monster” so he can solve laundry related problems that come his way. Will he be able to make change for the dryer and subtract stains using his super hero math skills? Other Sesame Street Muppets™ also join in the transformation fun as Elmo, Abby and Rosita star in the “Furry Four” where they take on math and counting challenges as a team. Two additional stories, “Super Grover’s Sidekick” and “Slimey the Hero,” are also included in the DVD.
In Sesame Street: Iron Monster and Sesame Heroes children will learn about patterns, counting, addition and subtraction. They are introduced to new vocabulary words such as ‘cling’ and ‘activate,’ and will also learn reading fundamentals and pre-literacy skills. Finally, children learn about self-confidence and the importance of feeling good about who they are while the familiar Sesame Street friends changes themselves into something out of the ordinary: super heroes!

MY THOUGHTS
I received a copy of the Sesame Street: Iron Monster And Sesame Heroes DVD. This DVD is just fun. My favorite episode is definitely Iron Monster. It’s all cute little puns on phrases you’d hear or use in a laundromat. I loved the part where they talked about breaking a dollar. The Furry Four episode was CJ’s favorite. In that one everyone’s favorite friendly monsters are trying to create a group of four superheroes.
