Pepcom Holiday Spectacular 2011

Last week I was fortunate to be able to attend an invite only media event in New York City – the Pepcom the Holiday Spectacular. What a spectacular event it was! There were so many great companies there showing their new products that I couldn’t possibly list them all. Heck, I didn’t even have a chance to stop at all of their tables!
Here are some of the things that I saw that will surely be in big demand this holiday season. (Some will even be in my holiday gift guide.)
Altec Lansing
Altec Lansing brought audio products including the Bliss series of earphones designed specifically for women and boombox and speakers for iPods and iPhones.
Audiovox
RCA had USB Wall Plate Chargers, which turn any standard power outlet into a USB charging outlet. Acoustic Research had their portable wireless Bluetooth speaker dock.
Belkin
Belkin brought mobile accessories including the new iPad Kitchen accessory.
Canon
Canon U.S.A. had many different cameras for home and business.
dB Logic
dB Logic demonstrated EP-200V healthy listening Earphones featuring their patent pending “sound pressure level technology” (SPL2) and wind-resistant microphone
Discovery Bay Games
Discovery Bay Games brought their new line of “appcessories” that turn your iPad into an interactive board game called Duo! Game partners include Atari, Saturday Night Live, Smithsonian Institute and more!
Electronic Arts
Electronic Arts was demoing the Battlefield 3 video game.
Energizer
Energizer brought home lighting products and touch-controlled flameless candles.
GameMill Entertainment
GameMill Entertainment demonstrated their latest videogame Country Dance 2, featuring over 30 new songs
GE Digital Cameras
GE Digital Cameras had a number of very affordable and versatile offerings in both digital cameras and camcorders.
iLuv
iLuv had accessories for iPads and iPhones including the ArtStation Pro Stero Speaker Dock and a Professional Portfolio with Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad
Iomega
They brought the SuperHero backup and charger for iPhone and some hard drive products for Mac.
Kensington
Kensington Computer Products Group had security products for iPads and iPhones
Livescribe
Livescribe demonstrated its Echo Smartpen, which also records.
Logitech
Logitech has new accessories for tablets including the iPad.
Lookout Mobile Security
Lookout Mobile Security showed their mobile security app.
Majesco Entertainment
Majesco Entertainment Company brought two new games, Twister Mania and Zumba® Fitness 2.
Mint
They brought the Mint Plus, an intelligent floor cleaning appliance designed exclusively for dusting and moping hard surface floors
Monsoon Multimedia
They had products to let you use your iPad or cell phone like a DVR.
Motorola Mobility
They brought mobile phones including the soon to be released Droid Bionic.
Native Union
Native Union brought the Play, a small video memo pad.
Nikon
Nikon Inc. showcased its current line of D-SLR and COOLPIX cameras as well its NIKKOR lenses. One especially cool model is the Coolpix S1200pj, which works with your iPad or iPhone and becomes a movie and picture projector.
Ooma
Ooma offers wireless VOIP home phone service.
Parallels
Parallels was demonstrating the new Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac
Samsung
Samsung brought digital cameras, camcorders, smart tvs and home theater systems. The Samsung MV800 Digital Camera was especially cool because it can be positioned at many different angles so it can be used in different ways.
Samsung Mobile
Samsung Mobile will be showcasing the Samsung Galaxy S™ II smartphone portfolio available with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, that feature Samsung’s award-winning Super AMOLED Plus display technology, a powerful dual core application processor and a robust array of entertainment, messaging, social networking and enterprise experiences.
Seagate
Seagate was showcasing the GoFlex external hard drives.
SOL Republic
SOL REPUBLIC had a variety of headphones and earphones.
Sonos
The Sonos wireless HiFi system lets you wirelessly stream all the music on earth in every room.
Speck
Speck Products had new e-reader cases for iPad2, Kindle 3, Nook and iRiver e-readers.
Targus
Targus had new iPad 2 and tablet accessories.
TomTom
TomTom demonstrated the GO LIVE 1535 M, a very nice touchscreen unit which can access travel apps for weather, fuel and other info.
Toshiba
Toshiba was showing off all sort of cool stuff including the QosmioF755 glasses-free 3D laptop, the Thrive tablet, CAMILEO camcorders, Portege laptops, and 3D television.
