We had steady reasonable rain, with lightning and thunder for a while. The rain and winds have really picked up now. I haven’t seen any lightning or heard any thunder in a while. The road in front of our house is wet but no puddles as of now. So far other no power loss or landline issues other than a tiny bit of static. Here’s a ten second video of the rosebush near my front door, taken at 8:30 pm tonight. Sorry it’s dark, the porch light behind me was on but it didn’t help.
We’re supposed to get the worst of it late, late tonight. Well, technically in the wee hours of the morning that is. I borrowed stole the map of Hurricane Irene’s current path as shown above from the Weather Channel, it was posted there shortly before 9 pm today.
