Did you know that Bare Escentuals is celebrating their 35th birthday this month? I love them and wish them a happy birthday. I hope they’re around for a long time to come, they make great stuff. Speaking of great stuff, they’ve introduced some more new products – this month they focused on the eyes. (Pun intended.) Here’s some info on the products.

Feel free to crank it up or twist down with this patent-pending brush that expands and contracts depending on the amount of volume or definition desired. When fully extended, the innovative Expandable Brush stretches out, leaving ample space between bristles to accommodate the volume-blasting formula which volumizes up to 600%. When in its compact position, the bristles squeeze together to expertly comb through each and every lash for maximum length, separation and definition. $22, exclusively at Sephora and sephora.com.
Take lashes to their full potential with bareMinerals Flawless Definition Curl & Lengthen Mascara. Coming in July, it lifts, it curls, and it lengthens for dramatically long lashes with extra body and definition. With its dual-length bristles , the curl-enhancing brush utilizes the longer bristles for lift, length and the dramatic wow-factor curl that lashes crave. The shorter bristles coat and deposit the long-wearing formula onto each lash with precision. $18. Available in black and espresso.
Introducing a unique eyeshadow hybrid: rich, vivid metallic color in a longwearing waterproof primer formula. Arriving in July and available in six shimmering shades, this fool-proof formula provides all the benefits of an eyelid primer – it doesn’t crease or fade – while imparting vibrant light-reflective color. $18.

MY THOUGHTS
I received samples of each of the three new products – Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara in black, Flawless Definition Curl & Lengthen Mascara in black, and Prime Time Primer Shadow in Chroma Violet.I like the Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara. I had to experiment with the adjustable brush of course. To use it you just twist the base of the mascara. I ended up finding my happy medium sort of in the middle. I really like the bareMinerals Flawless Definition Curl & Lengthen Mascara. Out of all of the mascaras that I’ve tried it’s the one that’s made my lashes look the best, longer and fuller at the same time. The Prime Time Primer Shadow comes in a tube. To use it you squeeze and apply directly to your eyelid. It took me a couple of times to get used to squeezing and learning to use the right amount of pressure to that I didn’t dispense too little or too much. I love the color and am very happy that the color lasts, but I do wonder if things might be easier with an applicator in the tip of the tube.
I can’t wait to see what Bare Escentuals comes up with next!
